Month: February 2021

#NAW21

This week is National Apprentice Week and we’re celebrating our very own apprentice Jordan Woodward as part of the Westgrove Head Office team. Jordan, who joined us in July 2019, is currently studying for her Business Administration Level 3 and is due to complete the course later this year.

We are super proud of how far Jordan has progressed and the skills she has brought to Westgrove. She’s now an integral part of the operations administration team and supports everyone including Senior Directors, Managers and site based colleagues.

Hannah Denning, Head of HR says, “ Jordan has grown in confidence and, having built up her skill set over the past 18 months, adds real value to the team. We do not see Jordan as an apprentice, we see her as part of the business and a real success story.”

And Jordan is equally as happy with her experience so far. “I knew I wanted to continue in some form of education after leaving school, but I also really wanted to get out into the world of employment so this was ideal for me. My communication skills have improved massively through speaking to our colleagues and Partners and I am really excited for the future!”

Thanks to this success story, we are looking to recruit more apprentices across our business in the future – watch this space!

Our Outstanding Colleagues – Quarter 4

Our people are what make us special.  From saving lives and preventing crime to helping people in need and much more.  Our Reward and Recognition scheme is our way of saying thank you to our Colleagues for the amazing work that they do each and every day, often going above and beyond in their role.

Quarter 4 saw more ‘Covid’ difficulties for our teams who navigated through the November ‘Firebreak’ lockdown and the run up to Christmas in such difficult circumstances.
