Can We Support You On Your ESG Journey?

Can we support you on your ESG journey?

The Westgrove Group ESG Professional Services can:

•Help you to start your ESG journey

•Help you to continue your ESG journey

At Westgrove, we’re passionate about creating a more equitable and sustainable economy. We help businesses integrate ESG into their culture and decision-making process to create long term value for stakeholders and shareholders. We’re on a journey to work with businesses to unlock the value of Environmental, Social, and Governance performance.

Unlike routine compliance assessments, our ESG due diligence assessments adopt a proactive stance, emphasising forward-thinking measures that foster long-term ecological and societal well-being. This means delving deep into the intricacies of resource consumption, waste management, energy efficiency, and social responsibility.

While no two ESG journeys are the same, ESG must be measurable, transparent, and accountable. Drawing upon our regulatory and commercial expertise, we partner with you to identify, develop, and execute an integrated ESG programme that best communicates your story to your stakeholders.

Westgrove Supports #NoFallsWeek

Building a strong safety culture is about more than just managing our colleagues with training, checklists and risk assessments. It’s about empowering our colleagues to become more engaged in looking out for not only their own safety, but also for the safety of everyone else in our organisation, including our partners and others on site.

No Falls Week is organised by the No Falls Foundation, a UK charity who are passionate about preventing accidents that occur at height. This week we’re reminding our teams of the easy steps they can take to reduce the number of falls on site with our Quarterly H&S Campaign, along with a Ladder Safety Toolbox talk for all our colleagues to complete.

Westgrove Pledges Support For Mental Health

The Westgrove Group pledges it’s support for Mental Health Awareness Week. Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, this year the theme is ‘Movement: Moving more for our mental health’.

Regular physical activity is known to improve mental health, quality of life and wellbeing – working with Mind Over Mountains we offer all our colleagues the opportunity to attend their walking events and retreats to support their mental health and encourage spending time in the outdoors.

This week, we’re taking this opportunity to talk about Mental Health and start the conversation. We’re providing our colleagues with a Mental Health Toolkit and want them to know that if they are struggling there are lots of ways they can reach out for support.

Mental Health Toolkit

We have Mental Health First Aiders in the business and all Colleagues are offered Mental Health Awareness training via our e-leaning programme.

Through our partnership with the Retail Trust, our colleagues have access to free and completely confidential advice and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and access to the Retail Trust wellbeing portal where they can create their own personalised wellbeing toolkit.

We provide our colleagues with free access to Mind Over Mountains, the well-being and mental health charity who run outdoor therapeutic events throughout the year.  Mind Over Mountains believe that time in nature, coupled with professional support is a powerful way to build resilience, talk without pressure and find stillness; restoring mental health, naturally.

If you are struggling with your mental health, we urge you to take the first step and reach out.

We’re Supporting Dementia Action Week

This week is Dementia Action Week – It’s a national event that encourages people to take action to improve the lives of those affected by dementia.  The word ‘dementia’ describes a set of symptoms that over time can affect memory, problem-solving, language and behaviour. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia.

We’re asking our colleagues to to watch this short (5 minute) training video and to become a Dementia Friend – Click here.  They will learn about the challenges that people with dementia face so they can support them in their local communities.

What is a Dementia Friend?

A Dementia Friend is somebody that learns about dementia so they can help their community.

Too many people affected by dementia feel that society fails to understand the condition they live with. Dementia Friends help by raising awareness and understanding, so that people living with dementia can continue to live in the way they want.

What does a Dementia Friend do?

Dementia Friends help people living with dementia by taking actions – both big and small.

These actions don’t have to be time-consuming. From visiting someone you know with dementia to being more patient in a shop queue, every action counts! Dementia Friends can also get involved with things like volunteering, campaigning or wearing a badge to raise awareness.

Who can be a Dementia Friend?

Everyone! Dementia Friends is open to anyone who wants to help people with dementia in their community.
