As we close another successful quarter, we are delighted to celebrate the exceptional individuals and teams recognised through our Quarter 2 Recognition & Reward (R&R) Awards. Once again, the standard of nominations has been outstanding, highlighting the dedication, professionalism and care our colleagues demonstrate every single day across Westgrove.
This quarter’s nominations showcase the many different ways our people make a difference. From leading successful contract mobilisations and driving continuous improvement, to supporting vulnerable colleagues and communities, responding to incidents with professionalism, delivering outstanding customer service, and championing health and safety, every nomination reflects our Colleague First culture in action.
We celebrated these achievements during our quarterly R&R Teams presentation, hosted by Simon Whittle, (Joint Chairman), Ryan Curry (Operations Director), Harriet Oldfield (HR Director), Angela Crawford (Head of Health, Safety & Compliance) and Mark Allison (Head of ESG). Their continued support demonstrates our commitment to recognising the incredible contributions made by our colleagues across the business.

Team of the Quarter – Recognised for transforming the culture and performance of the site through exceptional teamwork, professionalism and a shared commitment to delivering outstanding service. The team’s positive attitude, vigilance and dedication have created a noticeable improvement for both colleagues and the partner.
Tom Higgs – Festival Place
Site Manager of the Quarter – Awarded for his outstanding leadership and collaboration throughout the successful mobilisation of the Festival Place contract. His proactive approach, professionalism and commitment to supporting both colleagues and the mobilisation team were instrumental in ensuring a seamless transition.

Colleague of the Quarter – Celebrated for embracing a new challenge with enthusiasm, taking ownership of improving site standards, strengthening relationships with stakeholders and continually identifying opportunities to enhance the service delivered by Westgrove.

Commitment to Learning – Honoured for embracing learning from day one, completing an exceptional number of eLearning modules during mobilisation and demonstrating a genuine commitment to personal development and operational excellence.

People Award – Recognised for consistently going above and beyond to create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all visitors. His kindness, compassion and willingness to support both customers and colleagues exemplify the very best of Westgrove’s values.
Anthony Sheridan – Wythenshawe Town Centre
ESG – Environmental Award – Awarded for transforming the site’s colleague garden into a vibrant space that supports biodiversity and colleague wellbeing. His personal commitment and pride in enhancing the environment have created a lasting positive impact for everyone on site.
Beth McGowne – Wythenshawe Town Centre
ESG – Social Value Award – Recognised for strengthening partnerships with local emergency services, improving community safety and delivering a hugely successful community engagement event that brought together local residents, emergency services and Westgrove colleagues.
Scott Hazlehurst – Handforth Dean Retail Park
Newcomer of the Quarter – Celebrated for making an exceptional impact within weeks of joining Westgrove, demonstrating outstanding leadership, driving compliance and training standards, and building strong relationships with both colleagues and partners.
Naomi Wears – The Galleries, Bristol
Health & Safety Champion of the Quarter – Recognised for her unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, championing best practice and creating a safer environment for colleagues, customers and partners.

This quarter saw several colleagues recognised for exceptional acts of courage, professionalism and quick thinking while responding to challenging situations.

Others celebrate the quieter achievements that often go unseen – colleagues supporting one another, driving improvements, embracing learning, strengthening communities and consistently delivering exceptional service.
