Our planned preventative maintenance (PPM) regimes are developed in line with relevant legislation, SFG20 recommendations, CIBSE guidelines, British Standards and manufacturers guidance. However, they are completely flexible and can be made bespoke to your buildings and assets – to meet your specific needs and drivers.

We work from first-class systems that are integrated to collect data and information for analysis and planning. This allows our maintenance and engineering colleagues to focus on continuous improvement and enhancing asset uptime and performance.

Mind over Mountains Day

Some of our colleagues had an amazing day out as part of a walking day with Mind Over Mountains CIC and our Brand Ambassador and explorer Alex Staniforth.

The charity which advocates the outdoors for helping mental mental health and well being normally delivers residential events with guided walks, mindfulness, professional coaching, inspirational speakers and counselling.

Due to the pandemic, the charity has been working hard to find safe and responsible ways to support people during this challenging period. As a result, they organised special guided one-day hill walks in the Lake District and Peak District with small groups to maintain social distancing and minimise local impact.

Westgrove provided bursaries for colleagues wishing to join in and those that joined Alex and his team in the hills said they had an amazing day.

Our colleague Paul said, ‘It was great to chat to other people on the walk and share experiences. I feel revitalised from being on the walk and will definitely join the next one. I can’t believe how good it has made me feel!’

Welcome Back & Thank You!

As we start to head back to normality we would like to say a big welcome back to many of our furloughed colleagues and a huge thank you to those that have worked through the Covid19 crisis.

It has been a difficult and unsettling time for many colleagues and although we are still not in a position to be able to return all colleagues to work, we are working with all our Partners across the UK to try and make this happen as soon as possible.

Many colleagues have worked through the crisis and under difficult circumstances, travelling on public transport and taking on extra shifts where needed.

We are extremely proud of all our colleagues and would like to reassure you that we have been working hard to ensure the safety of everyone. There are a number of new ways of working to minimise risk the spread of infection and we would ask that all colleagues take the Coronavirus Awareness course on our eLearning platform.

All returning colleagues will go through a Return to Work process and we have 24/7 well being help and advice through our Retail Trust portal available for everyone.

Mental Health Awareness Week

Steve Allen of The Westgrove Group receives his BSIA award

Mental Health is something that Westgrove believes strongly in, which is why we were delighted with the success of our recent Awareness Week.

During the week, we sent out daily advice and information to our colleagues to help build awareness of mental health and offer advice.

Over 50% of colleagues trained via our online eLearning course during the week and we received some great feedback.

Look out for more Mental Health Awareness Days, fundraising activities and do ask about our eLearning course.

We were overwhelmed with the nominations and had a very hard time choosing just 20…but here they are! Well done to all Super Colleagues who receive a certificate, and gift from the company and are VIP Guests at our annual Reward & Recognition Awards in February 2019.
