Training Coordinator – Exciting New Mixed Use Scheme, Bracknell

An exciting opportunity awaits an innovative Training Coordinator to play a key role at an exciting new mixed use development in Bracknell. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a town centre regeneration scheme working with a variety of stakeholders.

As a Training Coordinator, you will have delivered training to front line staff working in a retail or hospitality led environment. You will co-ordinate and deliver a broad range of training and well-being interventions to support evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Take ownership for the logistical aspects of training programmes, setting up and administering them, to ensure smooth running and positive outcomes
  • Maintain effective recording and reporting systems and processes for training to enable tracking, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Deliver induction programme to new employees, using standardised materials and formats to ensure an effective orientation into the organisation.
  • Support the delivery of the World Host customer service programme to ensure high levels of service excellence
  • Take ownership of the application process for funding for technical and professional development
  • Maintain effective recording of financial transactions, process invoices and requests for purchase orders to enable tracking and monitoring against the budget.
  • Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and staff to organise fit for purpose training for their departments.
  • Liaise with internal trainers and external training suppliers to ensure that they are aware of their training schedule/commitments and to ensure they have the necessary materials and support for their sessions.
  • Help deliver a proactive Service Excellence programme on site seeking ways to improve and maintain standards at all times

Key Skills and Qualities:

  • A strong commercial awareness.
  • A professional manner and good inter-personal skills.
  • Experience of training both small and large groups is essential for this role.
  • Experience of World Host in a retail or hospitality environment an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge of presentation and training techniques.
  • Effective communication skills and able to contribute confidently in groups, workshops, and /or training sessions
  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Effective IT Literacy including MS office
  • Understanding of technology that could support learning and development.

Compliance Coordinator – Exciting New Mixed Use Scheme, Bracknell

The Westgrove Group are recruiting for an experienced Compliance Coordinator to play a key role at an exciting new development in Bracknell. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a town centre regeneration scheme working with a variety of stakeholders.

As a Compliance Coordinator, you will lead on the Health, Safety and Compliance of the site providing support to the onsite team to ensure that all health and safety legislation is adhered to and policies and procedures are planned, implemented, monitored and reviewed.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Act as the lead for Health and Safety, developing, monitoring, promoting and reviewing health and safety policy and related procedures at site
  • Influence all colleagues to ensure consistent and effective incorporation of health and safety principles into all activities
  • Support and maintain the E Log Book property management software system
  • Plan, develop, review, quality assure and deliver (where appropriate) health and safety training in conjunction with Westgrove training processes
  • Develop relationships across site and with local Health and Safety Committees, representing Westgrove and the site at local, regional and national health and safety meetings
  • Work with National organisations (e.g. Health and Safety Executive and Association of Police Health and Safety Advisors) to establish benchmark standards, to promote and share good practice and develop a positive working relationships
  • Ensure compliance with SIA regulations for security personnel and participation in audits
  • Maintain recording of incidents ensuring the coordination of related information where necessary
  • Liaise with Head of Systems to ensure all systems fit for purpose from a Health and Safety perspective
  • Assess data on injuries / accidents / near misses and so forth to identify action required to minimise health and safety risk and ensure that Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and the Westgrove Head of Health & Safety is notified of reportable incidents
  • Undertake Health and Safety incident investigations and monitor implementation of subsequent recommendations
  • Make recommendations regarding proposed health and safety expenditure, ensuring this is budgeted and there is a solid business case for expenditure
  • Planning and participation in Health & Safety audits, ensuring full compliance
  • Keeping professional knowledge up-to-date with regulatory and industry changes, best practice including attending specific training events
  • Manage key contractors and supplier relationships to ensure agreed work

Key Skills and Qualities:

  • Proven knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and developing Health and Safety strategies and associated policies
  • Experience within a Health and Safety background within the commercial/retail sector, working with managers to promote best practice and implement appropriate health and safety management systems
  • Experience of E Log Books an advantage or working with a cloud based CAFM system
  • Experienced in appropriate regulatory accident reporting and investigation
  • Influencing and relationship management skills in order to ensure compliance throughout.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritise workload
  • Ability to champion, support and deliver business initiatives
  • Committed, motivated and passionate individual with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills to a high level
  • Qualified to level 5 in a health and safety related qualification such as a graduate member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)

Soft Services Manager – Exciting New Mixed Use Scheme, Bracknell

The Westgrove Group are recruiting for a highly experienced Soft Services Manager to play a key role at an exciting new development in Bracknell. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a town centre regeneration scheme working with a variety of stakeholders.

You will play a key part of the strategic operational management of the soft services provision by being the driving force in the delivery of Synergy, introducing new service benefits specifically targeted at retail environments to give more added value service to our Partner.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead and motivate the whole team ensuring contractual obligations are met in line with service delivery
  • Line management responsibility of Duty Managers, Training Co-ordinator and Compliance Co-ordinator
  • Develop strategies and innovative solutions associated with the role to drive operational improvements, manage their implementation, optimising cost and performance
  • Deliver and promote the Service Excellence framework – Aspire Service Excellence – to achieve and maintain 7* Service Excellence Status and ‘best in class’ standards
  • Driving awareness of the Company & Partner aligned values and principles, promoting this culture throughout the team
  • Promote as the employer of choice and showcase potential career opportunities by engaging with local education establishments
  • Budget management of the soft services provision in line with agreed service charge parameters
  • Provide support, direction and monitor the performance of the soft services provision measuring against set KPI’s
  • Assist management team, security and cleaning teams to set performance goals
  • Ensure recruitment levels are in line with contractual obligations
  • Develop key relationships with local stakeholders, internal and external customers, consultants and specialist advisors
  • Ensure that the soft services provision is fully compliant at all times and H&S is a priority at all times
  • Ensure all Westgrove policies, procedures and work practices are adhered to
  • Control and review all budgets relating to operational delivery (to include hours, colleagues, standards, uniforms, materials, training and so forth) to ensure budgets are maintained and there is minimal/no wastage
  • Maintain an understanding of current legislation, CCTV, Data Protection Act and other relevant regulations
  • Engage with local stakeholders, local authorities including education establishments
  • Manage key contractors and supplier relationships to ensure agreed work performance standards are met

Key Skills and Qualities:

  • You will have strong leadership focus with experience in a team management role with ideally an ILM/FM management or similar qualification
  • You will have exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritise workload
  • IOSH / NEBOSH qualifications
  • Ability to work within and manage budgets
  • You will be a committed, motivated and passionate individual with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Experience of managing contractors and other external stakeholders to provide a high quality service at all times.
  • Understanding of FM contracts within a high footfall environment and how they translate into delivery of costs and service
  • You will have proven communication and interpersonal skills to a high level
