Haymarket Shopping Centre, Leicester

Known as the premier destination for value fashion, Haymarket Shopping Centre in the heart of Leicester City Centre has over 60 stores offering plenty of choice and truly representing Leicester’s vibrant culture.

The Westgrove Group have taken care of the centre’s professional housekeeping for a number of years, and last year was also awarded the security contract. This was a result of the financial advantages of Westgrove’s Dual Service being realised within the portfolio of the Centre’s owners, Munroe K Asset Management.

Centre Manager, Phil Toyne, explains: “I was delighted to award Westgrove the contract for security at the Haymarket Shopping Centre. Their values, principles of business and all-round honest and open approach gave me the confidence to make this key strategic award. Their Dual Service model has proved successful elsewhere within the Munroe K Asset Management portfolio and this made the decision a natural fit with the needs of the centre.”

The commercial benefits from merging of the two key services were not purely economic, though undoubtedly they provided a compelling foundation. Also key to Westgrove’s success were the ‘One Team’ ethos, increased management support and a desire to promote the very best in customer service.

The subsequent integration of the two teams into a cohesive, synergistic unit along with a seamless mobilisation process are testament to the open communication and strength of the relationship between the client’s team and Westgrove.

According to Phil Toyne, particular mention should be made of the tremendous input and support from Carl Trimble, in his role as Mobilisation Manager: “The work and commitment of Carl cannot be underestimated as an integral part of the unbelievably smooth transition. Coupled with the undoubted financial benefits, I am hugely pleased with the service that Westgrove provide.”
