Since July 2006, the Westgrove Group has been providing cleaning services for the busy and vibrant Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre and its 80-plus retailers at the heart of Oldham.

In mid-2009, Westgrove was awarded the contract for a combined Dual Service operation, a first for the centre, to bring cleaning and security together into a more cohesive operation and to realise financial advantages.

The employee-focussed mobilisation process led to a smooth and seamless transition, with the contract now having developed to include additional services and further benefits. As well as waste management solutions, increased due diligence and spillage management, improved communication and substantial financial savings, the respective site cleaning and security managers have benefited from Westgrove’s Management development Course – the former is now an Area Support manager looking after a portfolio of sites.

And as testament to the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm shown on-site by the highly focussed, dedicated and customer-orientated team, the Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre also recently won the Westgrove Group’s Centre of the Year Award.
